All Parish Breakfast: December 15
Advent Parish Breakfast will be Sunday, December 15, 2013 at 9:00 AM. Please join your parish family at our quarterly youth sponsored breakfast. This is a special opportunity to share time and a delicious meal during this season of anticipation and hope. The menu includes cinnamon-baked French toast, sausage links, scrambled eggs, fruit and oatmeal, coffee, orange juice and milk. Adults are $6.00 and children ages 6-12 are $4.00, with a $20.00 maximum per family. All proceeds will benefit our Youth and Families ministries.
Lunch Bunch is a group of men and women who gather monthly during the fall, winter and spring on the second Thursday of the month for a potluck lunch in Browning Hall. The fun starts with cards, games, puzzles, and talk and have lunch at noon. We also gather for an annual outing.
Lunch Bunch next meets December 12 at 10:30 a.m. in Browning Hall, and will enjoy some beautiful holiday music courtesy of Alena Michel and other special guests.
Adults of all ages are welcome to this social group. Contact Nancy Kelly at email@example.com with questions.
Men’s Action Guild (MAG)
The Men’s Action Guild meets the second Wednesday of each month in Browning Hall at 6:30 p.m.
MAG is probably best known to most of the parish as that group of men who collect and sell furniture and electronics, and have their annual Shrimp Boil in February. In reality we are much more than that. As men of the parish, each year we endeavor to put into practice the early Church’s commitment of breaking bread together, helping others, spiritual enhancement and fellowship. Some of our efforts help provide the church with many non-budgeted items, such as security lights around the campus, and offering seed money to provide new carpeting for Browning Hall.
These and other projects fulfill the needs of our parish community. In addition, over the years we have funded organizations and ministries such as annual lunches for ECHO (Educational Concerns for Hunger Organization), KAIROS prison outreach ministry, financil support for our seminarian, YOSH trips, Reach Rwanda, and Episcopal Relief and Development. Our close association and collaboration with the ECW (Episcopal Church Women), allows for successful Rummage Sales and Holiday Bazaars. Recently, the incorporation of some adult forum topics into our monthly meetings and our participation in the Lenten Stations of The Cross has added to our spiritual enhancement.
MAG is a living, active supplement to our already fine congregation. Contact Gerry Mungan at 513-839-0976, if you would like to learn more about the MAG ministry.
MAG is still accepting requests for the pick-up of furniture and electronic items. If you would like to arrange for a pick-up of furniture or electronic items contact Gerry at the number above.
Enjoy bridge and company? Join us Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall to play! In season you can also play bridge at 1 p.m. Wednesdays, same location. This second day is offered when at least four people want to play at that time. These are opportunities to learn or improve your bridge game, and all levels of experience are welcome. Contact Jo Lane at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. All are welcome!
